Norfolk State Spartans Basketball Baltimore Sport reviews
Great performance, but terrible set list.
The songs they performed were all released 1980-'92, totally ignoring the last 20 years. Did I go to a concert or step into a time machine?
As most of what they performed was from that album, you could have had the same seeing them live in 1987 when promoting Seventh Son of a Seventh Son.
Putting in perspective how ancient even their newest material was, we've had two terms of Clinton, two terms of Little Bush, and an Obama since then, the newest, or shall I say least old, was Afraid to Shoot Strangers, a song written about & during America's first war in Iraq.
The only old songs I like are their iconic classics which no show can be complete without. I've been a fan since I bought "Live After Death" in 1986, which contains some of the same ancient songs they performed on their Power Slave tour in ''84-'85.
On July 4th, despite record-setting heat of 103, they performed great. It was funny was Bruce pondered why he has to work on July 4th: "Is it because I'm British?" Bruce showed great energy & enthusiasm, not slowing down just because he turns 54 next month. His vocals were great. All the rest of the guys were at the top of their game as well.
